Sweet Spot Bonus

Sweet Spot Bonus

Those of you living in the Sweet Spot are loving it!  We have heard from you loud and clear!  If you haven’t yet been in the Sweet Spot, you should!  It’s a huge bonus—the best money in senior care!

Every caregiver is unique.  Some want to work just a little, to stay active and feel great about being a blessing in a senior’s life.  Others rely on caregiving to be their sole income.  We love all of you, just the way you are!  For those caregivers who want to rely on Seniors Helping Seniors to pay your bills, we have developed a unique opportunity to work longer hours and be rewarded for it!

Seniors Helping Seniors provides a bonus to those employees who work 25-40 hours per week.  And it is significant!  $2.50/hr!  For every hour worked during that pay period!  This is the Sweet Spot Bonus.  Sweet Spot Bonuses are paid to caregivers each pay periodCaregivers working 50-80 hours in the two week pay period earn the bonus.  To keep it fair to everyone, the parameters are strictly set with no exceptions (we give grace for late clock-outs, though).  Any amount under 50 hours or over 80 total hours will disqualify the bonus for that 2 week pay period only.  There is always next pay period!

Overtime?

By the way, it is possible to work some overtime in one week and work fewer hours the next week.  Total two week pay period hours are what matter!  If your total hours for the 2 week pay period is under 80, you still get paid the Sweet Spot bonus on the regular hours (not the OT hours).  It is your responsibility to manage your schedule–use the online portal to keep track!

The above is provided to help you map out your earnings opportunities with Seniors Helping Seniors.  The schedules above are theoretical.  As you know, SHS provides opportunities to caregivers on a daily basis.  Caregivers are encouraged to take as many hours as they would like with numerous clients to make up their personal schedule.  Given the nature of caregiver work, exact 40 hour work weeks are not common.  24 hour shifts are the easiest way to make the most amount of earnings with the least number of days impacted.  As you can see from above, three 24 hour shifts still remain the best way to earn a living with Seniors Helping Seniors (even though that schedule is not eligible for the Sweet Spot Bonus)!

And please remember, relationship first.  When you say “yes” to a client, you’ve made a long term commitment to be with that client!
